Climate-Change Related Occupational Hazards, or CROH, seeks to:
help prepare CA to meet the challenge of extreme heat and wildfire smoke exposure, two major climate-related exposures, through conducting a risk assessment to characterize the recent past and modeled near future heat and wildfire smoke exposure risks to the specific vulnerable populations: warehouse and storage workers ; people who are incarcerated or working in California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) or federal facilities ; active duty US military personnel in CA; workers at post-harvest food processing locations and other animal production (e.g., slaughterhouses, confined animal feeding operations, and dairies); and free and incarcerated workers at wildfire firefighter camps.

Funded by the California Institute for Energy and Environment at the University of California, Berkeley, in partnership with the California Natural Resources Agency and the Fifth Assessment team
