The University of California Merced invites you to attend this year’s Air Quality and Health Conference, sponsored by the Health Sciences Research Institute and the Department of Public Health at the University of California Merced on October 17 and 18, 2024. This meeting aims to bring together the many people working on air quality across the San Joaquin Valley and California to share our current research, discuss new research directions, and discuss what policies, actions, and education are needed to improve air quality and public health.

Everyone is welcome!  Participants will include community members and organizations, university and government scientists, policymakers and regulators, and senior leadership from local and state health and environmental agencies. Please complete the form below to help us plan if you may attend.  Additionally, we encourage you to share this webpage with your colleagues.  A final program and details for abstract submission will be published later this Spring on this conference website.

We look forward to welcoming you and would appreciate you confirming your attendance as soon as possible. Early registration starts now and is recommended, especially if you travel from outside Merced and need funding and accommodations. You can access the registration form here.

Yours sincerely,

Asa Bradman, Professor of Public Health

Director, San Joaquin Valley Center for Air Injustice Reduction (SJV-CAIR)
